US web prices. Twitch shares net revenue, after sales tax and payment fees, and prices subs lower in many countries, so a channel with a large non-US audience earns less per sub than shown. Prime pays a fixed rate by the subscriber's country; $2.25 is the US rate.
How Twitch pays for subs
A paid sub is split between Twitch and the streamer. The standard split is 50/50. The Plus Program raises it: 60/40 for channels that hold 100 Plus Points for three consecutive months and 70/30 at 300 points. Points come from paid and gifted subs — 1 per Tier 1, 2 per Tier 2 and 6 per Tier 3 — and the calculator adds them up and tells you which level your numbers reach.
With the example above — 120 Tier 1, 8 Tier 2 and 2 Tier 3 subs on 50/50, 30 Prime subs and 5,000 Bits — the month comes to $359.40 + $39.96 + $24.99 from paid subs, $67.50 from Prime and $50.00 from Bits: $541.85. Those subs are worth 148 Plus Points, enough for 60/40 if the channel holds them for three months.
The rates used, and where they come from
- Tier 1: $5.99 on the web in the US, per Twitch’s local subscription pricing page. Tier 2 ($9.99) and Tier 3 ($24.99) are the standard US prices shown at checkout.
- Prime: $2.25 fixed for a US subscriber, from the Prime Gaming revenue guide. Other countries pay their own fixed rate.
- Bits: $0.01 each, per the Partner Program overview.
- Splits and Plus Points from the Plus Program page.

Ads are entered, not estimated
Twitch does not publish a per-view ad rate; what you earn depends on how many ads run, where your viewers are and the season. Rather than invent a CPM, the calculator takes the ad figure from your Creator Dashboard and adds it to the total. Streams that also go up on YouTube can estimate that side with the YouTube money calculator.
Questions
How much does a streamer get per Twitch sub?
A Tier 1 sub costs $5.99 on the web in the US. On the standard 50/50 split the streamer gets about $3.00 of that, on 60/40 about $3.59 and on 70/30 about $4.19 — before Twitch deducts sales tax and payment fees, so the real figure is a little lower.
How much is a Prime sub worth to a streamer?
Prime subs pay a fixed amount set by the subscriber’s country, not a share of a price. For a US Prime subscriber it is $2.25, according to Twitch’s Prime Gaming revenue guide. The revenue split does not change it.
How do you get the 60/40 or 70/30 split?
Through the Plus Program. Each paid or gifted sub earns Plus Points — 1 for Tier 1, 2 for Tier 2, 6 for Tier 3; Prime subs do not count. Hold 100 points for three months in a row for 60/40, or 300 points for 70/30.
How much is 1,000 Bits?
$10 to the streamer. Twitch pays one cent per Bit cheered in the channel, on top of sub revenue.
Why is my real payout lower than the calculator?
Twitch shares net revenue, after sales tax and app-store or payment fees, and many countries pay lower local sub prices. The calculator uses US web prices, so it is the upper end for a channel with a mostly non-US audience.
